Letter G alphabet sensory bin, alphabet sensory tub

alphabet sensory tub base bin

We decided on the letter G this week for her alphabet sensory tub.  Goat, gorilla, green, gray, grandma, glass, etc.  I added my baggie of letter G to the base alphabet sensory tub (alphabets colored pasta, plastics button letters, alphabet beads, etc.)  When we change out the letter, I just take out all the additives and store them in a baggie.  I have a baggie for each letter of the alphabet; inside each baggie is alphabet flash cards, larger items that I could not fit in the alphabet sounds treasure box.  I keep all the baggies in a lidded bin, and pull them out when we change the letter.  All in all since I have it organized now, it only takes me 2 minutes to change out her alphabet sensory tub.

4th of july number sequence puzzle

Here is a number sequence puzzle I made for Naters last year.  I print it on white cardstock, laminate it and then cut between the numbers.  super simple!

Zoo trip

We have an annual family pass to the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo, so we go quite often.  We went with my niece and her little girl on a gorgeous day here.  Naters was able to take a camel ride; I was surprised, but she wasnt scared at all!

breaking out the Primary Science Set

We've had this Learning Resources Primary Sceince Set  for months.  Yesterday Naters asked if we could bring it out today.  I've let her go through the box before but we haven't done anything because she never asked to.  We started with the first experiment card today - color mixing.  Naters had a lot of fun with this.  I then got out some pipettes and we used them to make some art on watercolor paper.

Father's Day gifts #2

This is handprint collage we made for Daddy.  I got the print from Confetti Printables on Etsy.  She was willing to work with any color combos or sayings that you wanted.  Super easy to deal with.  I had this printed by shutterfly in 11x14. I used Stampin' Up Ink pads for her handprints in numerous shades of greens.  We got the frame at hobby lobby for 40% off with coupon!  I like how it turned out.  (Please note, we did notice the typo and she is sending us a new print with proper wording.  It should say when I WAS small, not when I were small.  We just can't get new print in time, so this will do til the replacement comes.) Thanks for looking!  Becky

sponge painting

Naters chose to use glitter paints for use with our flower building sponge set.  She enjoyed this a lot and was quite creative, but I think next time we will use our regular paints for better coverage.  Although we did find that once she put the sponge down, if she counted to five the image came out so much better with the glitter paints.

Father's Day gifts #1, Handprint T-shirts

I helped Natalie make these handprint T-shirts for her Dad for Father's Day.  I prewashed & dried the t-shirts.  We used brown fabric paint and a brown fabric marker.  After her handprint was dry, I used Red fabric paint on a heart shaped rubber stamp I had and put that on top.
