We are going to a pot luck lunch today, and I'm taking two of my stand-by dishes. Ramen Noodle Salad and Cake Batter Rice Krispie treats.
1 pkg ramen noodles - oriental
1 pkg ramen noodles - chicken
1 package broccoli slaw mix
3/4 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup sugar
1/3 cup rice wine vinegar
1/2 c toasted slivered almonds
1/2 cup roasted sunflower seeds
2 chicen breasts, cubed & cooked (i normally leave this out)
1 package of craisins
Toast almonds on cookie sheet at 350 for approximately 10 minutes.
Set aside flavor packets from ramen noodles. break up uncooked ramen noodles and put into large bowl. Add in the broccoli slaw mix, the bag of craisins, the sunflower seeds, and the chicken if you are using it. In a smaller bowl mix together the rest of the ingredients, add int he flavor packets from the ramen noodles and mix together well. Poor over the rest of the ingredients in the big bowl. add in the toasted almonds. mix together well and refridgerate for 3 hours. ENJOY!
